Calculating shipping rates for your shipping labels

Depending on your store's Shopify subscription plan and the order that you're shipping, you might be eligible for discounted shipping rates from Shopify supported carriers.

Discounted shipping rates

Discounts for shipping rates from Shopify supported carriers can vary based on the package type, weight, destination, and origin. The discount amount that you can get depends on your Shopify subscription plan. To calculate exact shipping rates for your shipping labels, use the shipping rate calculator.

Calculate your shipping rates

Admin

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.

  2. In the Shipping section, click Shipping labels, and then click Calculate rates.

  3. From the Shipping from drop-down menu, select the origin address:

  • To ship from an existing address, select an existing location.
  • To ship from a new address, select Custom location, and then search for the origin address.
  1. In the Shipping to section, select a destination country, and then search for the destination address.
  2. From the Package section drop-down menu, select the package size:
  • To use an existing package, select an existing package.
  • To use custom dimensions for your package, select Custom dimensions, and then enter the dimensions.
  1. Optional: In the Total weight section, verify that the total shipment weight is correct.
  2. Click Calculate discounted rates.
iPhone

  1. From the Shopify app, tap Menu, and then tap Settings Settings.

  2. In the Store settings section, tap Shipping and delivery .

  3. In the Shipping section, tap Shipping labels, and then tap Calculate rates.

  4. From the Shipping from drop-down menu, select the origin address:

  • To ship from an existing address, select an existing location.
  • To ship from a new address, select Custom location, and then search for the origin address.
