Scheduling a pickup

When a customer chooses an on-demand delivery option at checkout, you'll receive a notification email at the address that you entered when you set up your on-demand delivery settings in your Shopify admin. When the customer's order is ready to go, you need to schedule a courier to pick it up. You can do this directly from your Shopify admin.

To schedule a pickup:

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Apps (or press G A):

  2. Click the logo of the on-demand delivery service that you're using:

  3. From the list of your store's orders, click on the number of the one that's ready to be delivered:

    You can also find your orders on the Orders page in your Shopify admin.

  4. Select Request on-demand delivery pickup:

  5. Review the details of the order, and make sure that you enable the option for customers to track their orders in real-time.

  6. Click Review on-demand delivery pickup.

  7. On the Fulfillment page, click Request pickup, and then confirm your request on the Request pickup dialog.

    On-demand delivery charges are included in your customers' payments. You can adjust the billing absorb or pass on as much of the delivery cost as you want.

  8. After you've requested a pickup, you can click Track shipment to view a map that displays the courier's location.

When a courier is assigned to your delivery, their mobile phone number appears on the order's Delivery page in your Shopify admin. When the courier arrives to pick up the order, make sure that you ask them for the order number to confirm that the package is going to the correct destination.
