Adding products to Shopify Fulfillment Network

Before you can send your products to Shopify Fulfillment Network (SFN) for fulfilling orders, you need to add your products to SFN. You can add products in your SFN app either when creating an inbound transfer or directly from the Inventory tab.

When you add products to SFN, you need to make sure that these products meet SFN's product eligibility requirements and that you want to fulfill these products through SFN.

When selecting products, the following tags might appear in the Tags column:

  • Popular, if the SKU is one of your top 300 best selling products by sales in the last 30 days.
  • SKU in use, if the SKU is already being used for a product fulfilled by SFN.
  • Newly added, if you created the SKU in the last 30 days.

Add products through an inbound transfer in your SFN app

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings > Apps and sales channels.

  2. From the Apps and sales channels page, click Shopify Fulfillment Network.

  3. Click Open app.

  4. Click Inbound transfers, and then click Create inbound transfer.

  5. Click Add new products

  6. Select the product variants that you want to add to SFN, and then click Next.

  7. If any variants can't be added to SFN, then a list of the variants with issues is displayed. Resolve any issues, or click Remove all products with issues to continue.

  8. Click Next.

  9. Confirm that the selected products are eligible for SFN to fulfill by completing the checklist.

  10. Click Next to add your products to SFN.

  11. Click Next to create an inbound transfer to send your products to SFN.

    1. Select the origin where your products are shipping from.
    2. Optional: Deselect the Subtract quantity from this location's inventory checkbox if you don't want the inventory quantity to be changed for the location.
    3. Click Select products to manually choose the products you want to send to SFN, or click Import from CSV to import a CSV file of the products that you want to send.
    4. After selecting your products, choose the quantity that you want to send.
    5. Click Next.
  12. Confirm that your products have barcode labels.

    1. If your products don't have barcodes, then click Products are not barcoded, and then click Download barcode labels. Otherwise, click Products are already barcoded.
    2. Click Next.
    3. Click Continue to confirm your products for this transfer. After confirming, you won't be able to add any more products to this transfer.
  13. Prepare your boxes and labels

    1. Click if you are going to Self-label boxes.
    2. If labeling yourself, confirm how your boxes will be packed. Boxes can be packed by a single SKU per box or Multiple SKUs per box
    3. If labeling yourself, Attach the box content label to the outside of the pallet or box.
    4. Click Next.
  14. Enter shipping details, you can select Small parcel or Freight and enter the shipping details:

    • Small Parcel will allow you to supply your own labels or purchase labels from Shopify.
    • Freight will allow you to enter your carrier details or book freight from Shopify.
  15. Click Next to review and submit your inbound transfer.

  16. Click Next to finalize your inbound transfer.

Add products from the Inventory tab in your SFN app

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings > Apps and sales channels.

  2. From the Apps and sales channels page, click Shopify Fulfillment Network.

  3. Click Open app.

  4. Click Inventory, and then click Add products.

  5. Select the product variants that you want to add to SFN, and then click Next.

  6. If any variants can't be added to SFN, then a list of the variants with issues is displayed. Resolve any issues, or click Remove all products with issues to continue.

  7. Click Next.

  8. Confirm that the selected products are eligible for SFN to fulfill by completing the checklist.
