Sidekick

You can use Sidekick, an AI-enabled commerce assistant in your Shopify admin, to get guidance, generate content, build apps, and complete tasks using everyday language. Sidekick works within the context of your store regardless of technical skill, and presents changes for your review before applying them.

Starting a conversation with Sidekick

You can chat with Sidekick from any page in your Shopify admin on desktop or mobile. Use text chat, voice mode, or screen sharing to interact with Sidekick. On Apple Watch, you can ask Sidekick questions using voice mode.

Getting help and creating content

You can ask Sidekick to handle tasks such as analyzing data, managing orders, or editing products. For longer tasks, Sidekick continues working in the background and notifies you when it's ready for review. You can also ask Sidekick to create content such as blog posts, product descriptions, and images, or generate custom apps to help you manage your store.

Personalizing Sidekick

Sidekick remembers information from your conversations to provide more relevant, personalized responses over time. If you find yourself repeating the same prompts, then you can save them as skills and run them again with a shortcut.
