Searching in your Shopify admin
Use the in-admin Search to quickly find information within your Shopify store, from specific products, orders, and customers, to blog posts, online store pages, and collections. You can find it at the top of the Shopify admin sidebar.
There are a few ways that you can use Search to find what you're looking for.
Search your Shopify store
To search your Shopify store:
From your Shopify admin, click Search to open the search tool. You can also open the search tool by pressing the
Skey from anywhere in your Shopify admin:
Enter a keyword in the search field:
If you want to filter your search results, select a specific category:
If you find what you're looking for, click on it to open the corresponding page in your Shopify admin. If not, you can refer directly to Shopify's documentation for answers:
Use advanced search operators in your Shopify admin
You can use search operators within the search field to narrow down your results.
|OR||If you search for
|NOT||If you want to omit items containing a certain keyword from the results of your search, prefix that keyword with a minus sign. For example, if you search for
|AND||When searching for multiple terms, you don't need to enter
Search within specific fields in your Shopify admin
You can prefix a search term with a field name and colon to narrow your search to the specified field. For example, searching for
title:artichoke returns results that have artichoke as the title (it will be an exact match).
If you want to use the search operators to find a partial match, you must add an asterisk (
*) to the end for the search term, for example
title:artichoke*. When you do this, the search will return any results that contain the word artichoke as part of the title field.
You can search within the following specific fields:
