Yes. You're welcome to promote Shopify through all web properties you own or are allowed to promote on as long as it does not utilize restricted methods. Ensure you include any additional URLs in the “How do you plan on promoting Shopify?” field when you apply to the program.

How can I refer a sale?

After you sign up to be an Affiliate, you’ll be given a unique Affiliate link to ensure that the traffic coming from you is properly tracked.

Shopify has a 14-day free trial for all signups. After a person completes the 14-day free trial, chooses a plan, and has been successfully billed as a customer, your commissions will be credited to your Affiliate account.

How much commission can I earn per sale?

Commission Payout is 200% Per Sale.

Per-sale commissions mean that you earn 200% of a merchant’s subscription fee each time you refer someone to Shopify. You can make up to $358 per sale on standard plans and up to $2,000 on our Enterprise plan! Payments are issued 100% for month 1 paid and 100% for month 2 paid of the customer subscription. This also means that if they upgrade or downgrade their plan during that time, the commission will reflect that.

If the merchant sign ups on an annual plan, instead of monthly, you will receive a 10% discount and that will affect your payout the same way. So you will get the discounted month 1 and discounted month 2.

Can I earn commissions off themes, apps, and other products outside of the subscription?

No. The commissions are earned off of the plan subscriptions you bring to Shopify. The apps and themes are mostly developed by third partners and they earn the commission for building them.

How do I get paid and how often?

Credits to your Affiliate account are accumulated and paid out on the following schedule:

  • For all credits created between the 1st to and including the 15th of the month, payment will occur 5 business days after the 15th day of the month.
