Product media API and Liquid syntax
The developer preview makes images, videos, and 3D models for products accessible to partners for testing and development using the product media Liquid syntax. The GraphQL Admin API lets developers create, retrieve, update, and delete media assets.
Product media Liquid syntax
If you are a theme developer, then you can use Liquid to add a product's media (images, videos, 3D models) to a store's theme. You can find more information in our Liquid reference.
Product media GraphQL Admin APIs
You can use the GraphQL Admin API to manage the various types of media associated with merchants' products. You can find more information about the different types of product media, and how to use Shopify's API to work with them, in the working with product media API guide.
Product media is not available in the REST API. The feature doesn't have implications if you are interacting with product images using the REST API endpoints.
