Getting started

One of Shopify’s most compelling features is how easily a shop owner can sell both online and in person. If your client is creating an online Shopify store and wishes to sell in person, all they have to do is enable Shopify POS (Point of Sale) within their online admin and use the Shopify app and card reader. When they log into the app, they’ll see all of their products, inventory, and customers. And as the partner creating their online site, you won't have to do any work to enable this feature for them.

How Shopify POS works

The Shopify POS app functions as a register for them to handle all sorts of in-person transactions. They will use the Shopify credit card reader to process cards using the same great rates offered via Shopify online shops. They can also pair the app with a cash drawer and/or receipt printer for a full point of sale solution that work seamlessly with their online store.

Features like inventory syncing, customer accounts, and built-in payment processing make Shopify an amazing in-person sales solution.
