Ask your customers for permission to use non-essential cookies

Your Shopify store uses non-essential cookies. For example, if you use multiple currencies, the customer's currency choice is stored in a cookie. Your store also uses non-essential cookies if you use Google Analytics. There are two ways to let your customers know that your site uses cookies:

  • Using The European Cookie Policy Banner app, you can install and customize a banner in your store admin. It does not require a knowledge of code to install or customize, and costs $13 USD. The app creates a banner at the top or bottom of your site.

  • Using Cookie Consent offers more flexibility for the look and feel of your notice and it is free. It requires a little knowledge of working with code.
