Monitor your fulfillment requests

To monitor the progress of your fulfillment requests for Shopify Fulfillment Network (SFN), you can set up and save order filters. This lets you quickly view any fulfillment requests that need your attention.

To create saved views, you can filter by fulfillment status, or by order tags which are automatically added by SFN.

Monitor your SFN fulfillment requests using fulfillment status

You can monitor orders based on their fulfillment status by filtering your orders by fulfillment status, and then saving the order view for each filter.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.

  2. On any order view, click Filter.

  3. Click Select filter, and then click Fulfillment status.

  4. Click Select value, and then select the fulfillment status to filter by.

  5. Optional: Save your filters to an existing order view or save your filters to a new order view.

Monitor your SFN fulfillment requests using order tags

You can monitor the progress of your SFN fulfillment requests on the Orders page in your Shopify admin by filtering orders that have SFN tags. For example, to display all your Shopify orders that have an on hold SFN fulfillment request, you can filter your orders in your Shopify admin using the SFN: On hold tag.

Your Shopify orders are automatically tagged by SFN based on the status of their fulfillment requests. To accurately filter your orders with SFN fulfillment requests tags, make sure to use the exact tags that are assigned by SFN when you're filtering.

Use the following tags to filter your orders according to the status of the SFN fulfillment request:

  • SFN: Accepted
  • SFN: Requested
  • SFN: On hold
  • SFN: In progress
  • SFN: Canceled
  • SFN: Fulfilled
  • SFN: Partially fulfilled

Use the following tags to filter your orders according to the reason for the hold for the SFN fulfillment request:

  • SFN: Invalid address
  • SFN: Country not supported
  • SFN: Inventory not available
  • SFN: Canceled by fulfillment center
  • SFN: Fulfillment paused
  • SFN: Custom packaging out of stock

To display your filtered lists of orders with SFN tags again in the future, save your filters to the existing order view or create a new order view. For more information, refer to Order views.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.

  2. On any order view, click Filters.

  3. Click Add Filter, and then click the Select filter menu.

  4. Select Tagged with, and then click the Select Value menu.

  5. Copy and paste the SFN tag that you want to filter by.

  6. Optional: Save your filters to an existing order view or save your filters to a new order view.

You can access the status of your fulfillment requests on the Orders page of your Shopify admin. The fulfillment status indicates the stage of the fulfillment process that the order is in.

Critical alerts for unexpected fulfillment delays

Unexpected events, such as inclement weather, can cause delays in SFN fulfillment and carrier delivery. When there is an unexpected delay, the SFN app displays an alert. To access more information about the cause of the delay, click More details on the alert.

If a delay that might impact your store is estimated to be longer than 24 hours, then the store owner receives an email message about the delay. If a delay that impacts your store is estimated to be longer than 3 days, then SFN will contact you to help mitigate the effect of the delay.
