Testing your B2B setup

To place B2B test orders, you must activate customer accounts before you place a B2B test order. You also need to create a test company and a test catalog that you want to test the experience by placing a test order.

When you place a test order, verify that the prices displayed are those that you expect, and that the intended payment terms and checkout settings are offered.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Customers > Companies.

  2. Set up a test company with at least one company location.

  3. Add customizations to the company location, such as catalog, payment terms, and checkout settings.

  4. In the test company, create a customer profile that you can use to log in as a B2B customer. If you already have a customer profile set up for testing, then add the customer to the test company that you set up.

  5. Optional: If you want to place a test order using a simulated transaction, then deactivate your payment gateway and activate Shopify's Bogus Gateway.

  6. Log into your store as a customer by using the B2B customer profile that you've created.

  7. Place a test order.

If you use B2B with Markets, then you can preview how your online store is displayed to your customers.
