Setting up shipping for Managed Markets

Before you start shipping with Managed Markets, ensure that you've set up and reviewed your shipping rates.

Download your shipping rate table

You can download a CSV file with your personalized shipping rates. You can use these shipping rates as a reference to update the shipping rates that you display at your checkout.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Markets.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. In the Order fulfillment section, click Download shipping rate table.
  4. Select the file type that you want to export your shipping rate table to.
  5. Click Agree and download.

Configuring shipping rates for your Managed Markets orders

You can add flat rates or carrier-calculated rates to your store. You need to add your rates to all markets that are managed by Managed Markets.

Set up flat shipping rates

When you set up flat shipping rates, you can configure how much you want to charge your customers for the shipping rates. You need to set up flat rates with transit time.

The following are the flat rates displayed to your customers at checkout:

  • DHL eCommerce International Parcel Direct and DHL eCommerce International Parcel Standard flat rates are displayed as Economy International
  • DHL Express Worldwide flat rate is displayed as Express International
  • UPS Standard and UPS Worldwide Expedited flat rates are displayed as Standard International

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.

  2. Click the shipping profile that you want to add shipping rates to.

  3. In the Shipping zones section, click Add rate next to the shipping zone that you want shipping rates to.

  4. Select Set up your own rates, and then do one of the following:

    • To add DHL eCommerce flat shipping rate, in the Transit time section, select Standard International (2 to 3 business days).
    • To add DHL Express flat shipping rate, in the Transit time section, select Express International (1 to 2 business days).
  5. In the Price field, enter how much you want to charge your customers for the shipping rate.

  6. Click Done.

  7. Click Save.

Set up carrier-calculated shipping rates

Carrier-calculated rates are automatically calculated at checkout. The shipping fee that your customer needs to pay depends on multiple factors, such as shipment weight and dimensions, destination address. The following are the carrier-calculated rates displayed to your customers at checkout:

  • DHL eCommerce carrier-calculated rate is displayed as DHL eCommerce Parcel International Direct or DHL eCommerce Parcel International Standard
  • DHL Express carrier-calculated rate is displayed as DHL Express Worldwide
  • UPS carrier-calculated rate is displayed as UPS Standard or UPS Worldwide Expedited

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.

  2. Click the shipping profile that you want to add shipping rates to.

  3. In the Shipping zones section, click Add rate next to the shipping zone that you want shipping rates to.

  4. Select Use carrier or app to calculate rates, and then do one of the following:

    • To add DHL eCommerce carrier-calculated shipping rates, select DHL eCommerce (Discounted rates from Shopify).
    • To add DHL Express carrier-calculated shipping rates, select DHL Express (Discounted rates from Shopify).
    • To add UPS carrier-calculated shipping rates, select UPS (Discounted rates from Shopify).
  5. In the Services section, select all applicable shipping services.

  6. Click Done.

  7. Click Save.
