Setting up and managing Amazon offers and listings

You can set up default Amazon product listings and set up apparel size information for your Amazon listings. Amazon product listings are split into the following two parts:

  • The Listing includes the product images, title, description, and product identifiers, such as the UPC (Universal Product Code) or EAN (European Article Number), and is shared content across all Amazon sellers that sell the same product.
  • The Offer includes the product price, inventory quantity, and fulfillment options provided by sellers as their offer to sell that product. Offers are unique to each seller.

Every product on Amazon has a single product listing page, which contains one set of Listing content. However, it's possible for multiple sellers to provide different Offer values for the same product.

You can customize your Amazon offers and listings by setting Amazon listing defaults and turning off listing details sync. To list and edit your products, refer to Listing and editing your products on third-party marketplaces using the Marketplace Connect app.

Set up default Amazon listing settings

You can set up default Amazon listing settings that you can apply to future listings. Your existing listings aren't affected by your default listings. You can set up the following Amazon defaults listing settings:

  • Default Amazon price rule: This setting allows you to choose a constant value, percentage increase or decrease, or dollar increase or decrease relative to your Shopify catalog price, and applies price rounding if desired.
  • Default Amazon quantity rule: This setting lets you set a fixed inventory value, buffer, or maximum quantity for product inventory on an Amazon listing.
    • For example, if you set a buffer of 2 when your store inventory is 5 for a product, then the listing displays 3 of that item in stock.
    • For example, if you set a maximum quantity of 5, then a maximum quantity of 5 always displays on listings, unless your store inventory drops below 5 for that item, in which case the listing displays the actual inventory.
  • Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) or merchant fulfilled: This setting lets you choose whether orders containing that product listing are fulfilled from your Shopify admin (merchant fulfilled), or by Amazon (FBA). Learn more about fulfilling Amazon orders.

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
