Translations for subscription plans
When you create a new subscription plan, or edit an existing plan, the Shopify Subscriptions app automatically generates translations for your subscription plans. Translations are generated for any languages supported by the app that you've added to your store.
You can review the subscription plan translations by visiting your storefront and changing the language on your theme. Automatic translations might take a few minutes to generate.
Automatic translations generate any time that you save a subscription plan. If you've previously imported any subscription plan title translations, then those translations will be overwritten by the automatic translations. After you save your plan, you can import new language translations again.
Manually trigger automatic translations
Translations won't always automatically generate. If the translations don't generate, then you can manually trigger automatic translations by resaving the subscription plan.
You'll need to manually trigger automatic translations in the following circumstances:
- Importing subscription plans from another Shopify account.
- Adding a new language to your online store. If you're adding a new language, then you'll need to resave every subscription plan in the app in order to generate a translation for the subscription plans in the newly added language.
- Adding missing translations for existing subscription plans.
