Customizing receipts

You can customize the template for your printed receipts and choose how many receipts you want to print by default. You can't edit the transaction information on printed receipts.

If you have staff with POS PINs, then you can remove their access to the receipt customization settings by selecting the Limited permissions option from your Staff settings screen.

You can include store information, such as your return policy or store hours, in the header and footer of your receipts.

Steps:

  1. From the Shopify POS app, tap and then tap Settings.

  2. Tap Printed receipt settings.

  3. On the Receipt Settings screen, tap either Add header text or Add footer text.

  4. Enter your custom text, and then tap Save.

Include information on your receipts

You can customize your receipts by choosing the information that you want included on them.

For example, you can include a receipt barcode that when scanned with a 1D or 2D barcode scanner or your device's camera, the matching order is opened in Shopify POS.

Steps:

  1. From the Shopify POS app, tap and then tap Settings.
  2. In the Orders section, tap Printed receipt settings.
  3. On the Receipt Settings screen, toggle on the items on that you want included on your receipts:
    • Choose logo width
    • Show location address
    • Show location phone number
    • Show total sales box
    • Show SKU
    • Show compare at price
    • Show discount code
    • Show staff information
    • Show order note
    • Show customer information
    • Show 1D or 2D barcode
    • Show custom QR code
    • Show staff attributed to sale
    • Show custom QR code in the receipt footer
