Default receipt printer

When you connect a printer, it's automatically set as the default printer for receipt printing. If the default printer is unavailable, then you won't be able to print a receipt. If you have more than one printer, then you can change the default printer from Shopify POS.

Steps:

  1. From the Shopify POS app, tap and then tap Settings.

  2. Under the Hardware section, tap Manage connected hardware.

  3. Under Receipt printers, tap the printer that you want to set as the default.

  4. Tap Set as default receipt printer.

After you've set up your default receipt printer, a brief diagnostic report prints. After this, you should print a test receipt to confirm that everything is working.

  4. Tap Test receipt printer.
