Manage your smart grid

You can manage your POS smart grids by location. You can create custom smart grids for specific POS locations, and update POS locations from your Shopify admin.

Create a new smart grid

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Point of Sale > Settings.
  2. In the General section, click Smart grid.
  3. Click Create new.
  4. In the Name field, enter a name for the new smart grid.
  5. Click Save.

Add locations to a smart grid

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Point of Sale > Settings.
  2. In the General section, click Smart grid.
  3. Click the smart grid that you want to assign a location to.
  4. In the Locations section, click Edit.
  5. Select the locations that you want to assign the smart grid to.
  6. Click Done.
  7. Click Save.
  8. In the Update smart grid dialogue, confirm the locations that you edited.
  9. Click Confirm.

Remove locations from a smart grid

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Point of Sale > Settings.
  2. In the General section, click Smart grid.
  3. Click the smart grid that you want to remove a location from.
  4. In the Locations section, click Edit.
  5. To display the locations that are assigned to the location, click View.
  6. Deselect the location that you want to remove from the smart grid.
  7. Click Done.
  8. Click Save.
  9. In the Locations have been unselected dialogue, click Confirm.

Delete a smart grid

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Point of Sale > Settings.
  2. In the General section, click Smart grid.
  3. Click the smart grid that you want to delete.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. In the Delete smart grid dialogue, click Delete.
