Monitoring BFCM sales from your Shopify organization admin

As the stores in your organization prepare for Black Friday and Cyber Monday (BFCM), you can prepare to monitor BFCM sales across your organization.

Starting November 1, 2020, a card at the top of the Overview page in your Shopify organization admin enables you to set up sales targets for every store in your organization that participates in BFCM. Even if your stores don't participate in BFCM, you can still set up sales targets.

During BFCM, which runs from Friday, November 27, 2020 at 12:00 AM UTC+10 to Monday, November 30, 2020 at 11:59 PM UTC+10, you can monitor the following:

  • total sales at the organization level
  • sales performance for each store
  • notifications when targets are reached
  • how many targets have been reached across the organization

If you generated sales during the previous year's BFCM, then you can switch between this year's targets and last year’s total sales.

Set up your BFCM sales targets

You can start to set up sales targets on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 12:00 AM UTC+10, and continue to set up or change sales targets until Monday, November 30, 2020 at 11:59 PM UTC+10.

If you generated sales during BFCM in 2019, then by default, those amounts are entered for the 2020 sales targets for your reference. If there is no sales data for a store, then the default value is 0.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify organization admin, go to Overview.

  2. In the Black Friday to Cyber Monday card, click Manage sales target.

  3. In the 2020 BFCM sales targets column, for each store, enter the sales amount that you would like to reach or exceed.

  4. Click Done.

Monitor sales performance during BFCM

You can monitor sales performance across your organization from Friday, November 27, 2020 at 12:00 AM UTC+10 until Monday, November 30, 2020 at 11:59 PM UTC+10. Sales performance is updated automatically at regular intervals.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify organization admin, go to Overview. The Black Friday to Cyber Monday card displays the total sales for the organization.

  2. To display the sales performance for the stores in your organization, click Track store sales.

Reviewing results after BFCM

After BFCM, you can still review the final sales results by clicking Today at the top of the Overview page, and then clicking Black Friday to Cyber Monday.
