Updating orders

The Orders screen is available only in Shopify POS for iPad.

On the Orders screen, you can issue another receipt to a customer or view an order's note.

Re-issue a receipt

  1. On the Orders screen, tap on an order to view its details.
  2. Tap Receipt:

    Receipt 1a fixed
  3. Tap one of the following receipt options:

  • Email Receipt to send a copy of the receipt by email (you can add an email address if the customer didn't provide one at the time of checkout)
  • Print Receipt to print a paper copy of the receipt
  • Print Gift Receipt to print a paper copy of the receipt that doesn't show prices.

Tip

You won't see the options to print paper receipts if you don't have a receipt printer installed.

Add a note to an order

You might want to attach a note to an order if:

  • you’ve refunded or canceled the order
  • you’ve done an exchange for all or part of the order
  • your customer has some additional requirements that you want to record.

You can add notes to completed orders or to orders that are still in the cart.

To add a note to a completed order:

  1. On the Orders screen, tap on an order to view its details.
  2. Tap the ... button:

    Add note also fixed
  3. Tap the Add note icon:

    Add note 1 fixed
  4. Enter your note and then tap Done:

    Add note 2 fixed

View an order note

  1. On the Orders screen, tap on an order to view its details.
  2. To view a note, tap the ... in the top right-hand corner of the order details screen.
