Managing your billing information

Your invoices are paid using your active billing method. Available billing methods include credit card and verified bank account (verified bank accounts are available only to Shopify Plus merchants in the United States).

View your current invoice

To view your current invoice:

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings, then click Billing.

  2. In the Invoices section, click View outstanding charges.

View app usage data

Your invoice shows the total amount charged for apps that you've installed in your Shopify admin.

To see a detailed breakdown of how these charges are calculated:

  1. Click a specific invoice to get more details.
  2. Click the link under the Details column to learn more about the app charges.

The app fees breakdown shows four columns of information:

  • App shows the name of each app.
  • Description shows additional information for each app, including the billing period covered in this invoice.
  • Date shows the date on which the fee for an app is added to your 30-day invoice. Typically it's the first day of the billing period shown in the Description column.
  • App fee shows the amount payable for the app.

To learn more about different ways that you can be billed for apps, see Apps.

Update your billing information

Your billing information includes your credit card number and your billing address. If you need to update your billing information, then you can access it from the Settings menu in your admin.

If you are based in the United States, are on a Shopify Plus plan, and have a USD bank account that accepts Automated Clearing House (ACH) debits, then you can verify your account to serve as your active payment method. Check with your bank to see if your account accepts ACH debits.

If your credit card number changes, then make sure that you update it in your Shopify account.

To update your credit card details:
