What is the Markets test drive?
The Markets test drive lets you test new features related to Shopify Markets. Opting in might affect your B2B customer experience.

What was the current state before the test drive?
Companies and company locations without a shipping address and an assigned catalog received your primary market experience when logging into your store.
What changes if I opt in to the Markets test drive?
The following changes are made to your store when you opt in:
- A B2B All market is automatically created that includes all your existing companies and locations.
- Catalogs aren't assigned to the B2B All market.
- Your store's default products, prices, and currency are displayed to companies and company locations outside other markets that don't have an assigned catalog.
Do I have to opt in to the Markets test drive?
No, you don't need to opt in. If you don't opt in, then there are no changes to the experience for you or for your customers until Markets leaves test drive and becomes generally available.
What if I opt in and want to prevent unexpected changes for my B2B customers?
You have several options to prevent your default store settings from being displayed to your customers that buy from company locations without an address:
- Assign a catalog to all companies and company locations without shipping addresses. Learn more about creating and assigning Market catalogs.
- Create additional markets for these companies and company locations, and then apply customizations. Learn more about creating a new Market.
- Add addresses to the locations without an address, or remove the locations.
