Printing and editing packing slips
A packing slip is a document that includes a list of items included in a package. Packing slips include shipping and billing addresses, and product information, such as SKU number, weight, quantity, and other information.
Packing slips can be useful when packing items to ensure that all products are included in the package and they help to communicate what has been sent to the customer. You can print packing slips when you fulfill orders.

Print packing slips
Packing slips include all the items that are sent in a specific shipment. If you have multiple shipments for an order, then you can print a separate packing slip for each shipment.
Print packing slips individually
From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.
Click the order that you want to print a packing slip for.
Click More actions > Print packing slips.
Print or save your packing slip.
Print packing slips in bulk
You can print multiple packing slips for your orders from the Orders page using bulk actions.
Desktop
From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.
Select the orders that require packing slips.
Click ... > Print packing slips.
Optional: If you have multiple locations, then select the location from where the orders are being fulfilled, and then click Continue.
Print or save your packing slips.
iPhone
- On the Orders page, tap All orders.
- Press and hold on an order to open the order selection view.
- Tap the checkbox next to each order that you want to print a packing slip for.
- Tap Print packing slips.
- If there are multiple locations associated with the selected orders, then select the appropriate location from the list and then tap Continue.
- Print your packing slips.
Android
- On the Orders page, tap All orders.
- Press and hold on an order to open the order selection view.
- Tap the checkbox next to each order that you want to print a packing slip for.
- Tap Print packing slips.
- If there are multiple locations associated with the selected orders, then select the appropriate location from the list and then tap Continue.
- Your packing slips are generated into a PDF file. Tap Download to download the file.
- Tap Open to open the file.
- Print your packing slips.
Editing packing slips
Your packing slips are rendered using Liquid, a template language created by Shopify. If you are comfortable with HTML, CSS, and Liquid, then you can use the packing slips variables to edit your packing slip template.
You can make changes to your packing slip template. Click Edit in the Packing slips section of your Shipping and delivery settings.
You can revert the packing slip back to the default template by clicking Revert to default.
