Printing Shopify Shipping labels and shipping documents

You can print your shipping labels, customs forms, and packing slips in the following ways:

  • individually or in bulk when you're buying shipping labels
  • individually or in bulk from the Shipping labels page at any time after you purchase your labels
  • individually from an order's page

To print your shipping documents, you need to use a desktop printer or a Shopify-supported label printer.

You can print your shipping documents separately, or you can combine and resize them to fit on your selected printing paper format. For example, if you print your shipping label with a packing slip using an A4 printing format, then the packing slip is resized to fit on the same page as the shipping label.

You can select one of the following paper formats to print your shipping documents:

  • Thermal (4 x 6 inch / 100 x 150 mm / A6) for label printers
  • Letter (8.5 x 11 inch / 216 x 279 mm) for desktop printers
  • A4 (8.3 x 11.7 inch / 210 x 297 mm) for desktop printers

After you buy your shipping labels, you can print shipping labels, packing slips, and customs forms individually or in bulk at any time from the Shipping labels page. You can also reprint your shipping documents. You can print a maximum of 100 shipping labels at the same time.

Your shipping labels can have Printed or Not printed status that indicates whether you've already printed your shipping labels.

Printing multiple documents of different sizes results in the documents opening in separate PDF files. If you have pop-up blockers active on your device or browser, then only the first PDF opens. To ensure that all the PDFs open, deactivate your pop-up blockers.

International shipping labels for non-paperless trade countries require the customs form to be printed out and secured to the outside of the parcel. If a printed customs form is required for your shipment, then a Print customs form button displays. If this button isn't displayed, then a form doesn't need to be printed.
