List and edit your products on third-party marketplaces

You can list or edit your product listings one product at a time, or in bulk. There are additional product listing settings that you can configure for your Amazon and eBay listings.

List or edit a single product

You can use single edit mode to publish a single product listing from your Shopify store to a marketplace. If you're connected to multiple marketplaces, then repeat these steps for each marketplace where you want to add or edit a product.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
  2. From the Apps and sales channels page, click Marketplace Connect.
  3. Click Open app.
  4. Click Listings, and from the Listings drop-down menu, select the marketplace that you want to manage products for.
  5. Click Single edit.
  6. Click the product that you want to edit, and then do either of the following:
    • To list the product on the marketplace, in the Listing enabled section, select Enabled, and then complete the fields for each remaining section.
    • To edit a product that's already listed on your marketplace, change the fields that you want to update, and then review the product information and fill in any missing fields.
  7. Click Save.

List or edit products in bulk

You can use the bulk editor in the Listings section of Marketplace Connect to manage multiple product listings in bulk for a marketplace. Bulk editing can help you list entire catalogs to a marketplace quickly, and to review and edit products and their corresponding field values all in one place.

If you're connected to multiple marketplaces, then repeat these steps for each marketplace that you want to add or edit products for.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
  2. From the Apps and sales channels page, click Marketplace Connect.
  3. Click Open app.
  4. Click Listings, and from the Listings drop-down menu, select the marketplace that you want to manage products for.
  5. Click Bulk edit.
  6. Optional: Click the Filters button to create product groups by adding filters such as Status, Tag, or SKU.
  7. In the checkbox column, select the products that you want to add to the marketplace, and then click Bulk edit on the dialog that appears.
  8. Do either of the following:
    • To add a product to the marketplace for the first time, in the Enabled column, select Enabled for each product that you want to publish to the marketplace, and then complete the information in the remaining columns.
    • Edit any columns for each product that you want to update. To add additional fields, you can click the Columns button, which contains additional product information that you can edit.
  9. Click Save.

Amazon offers and listings

Because many different sellers might sell the same product on Amazon, Amazon product listings are split into the following two parts:

  • The Listing includes the product images, title, description, and product identifiers such as the UPC or EAN, and is shared content across all Amazon sellers that are selling the same product.
  • The Offer includes the product price, inventory quantity, and fulfillment options provided by sellers as their offer to sell that product. Offers are unique to each seller.

Every product has only one product listing page on Amazon, with one set of Listing content, but might have multiple sellers with different Offer values offering the same product.

You can customize your Amazon offers and listings by setting Amazon listing defaults and turning off listing details sync.

Set Amazon listing defaults

You can set defaults for your Amazon listings to create future listings with the same settings. Existing listings aren't impacted by changes to your listing defaults. You can update the following Amazon defaults:

  • Default Amazon price rule lets you choose a constant value, percentage increase or decrease, or dollar increase or decrease relative to your Shopify catalog price, and applies price rounding if desired.
  • Default Amazon quantity rule lets you set a fixed inventory value, buffer, or max quantity for product inventory on an Amazon listing.
    • For example, if you set a buffer of 2 when your store inventory is 5 for a product, then the listing displays 3 of that item in stock.
    • For example, if you set a maximum quantity of 5, then a maximum quantity of 5 always displays on listings, unless your store inventory drops below 5 for that item, in which case the listing displays the actual inventory.
  • Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) or merchant fulfilled lets you choose whether orders containing that product listing are fulfilled from your Shopify admin (merchant fulfilled), or by Amazon (FBA). Learn more about fulfilling Amazon orders.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
  2. From the Apps and sales channels page, click Marketplace Connect.
  3. Click Open app.
  4. Click Settings, and from the Settings drop-down menu, select Amazon.
  5. In the Update Amazon defaults section, do any of the following:
    • To set a price rule for future Amazon listings based on your catalog price, enter a Default Amazon price rule.
    • To set a quantity rule for future Amazon listings, enter a Default Amazon quantity rule.
    • To choose your default fulfillment method for future Amazon listings, select either Merchant fulfilled or FBA in the Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) or merchant fulfilled section.
  6. Click Save.
