Online store access with the Agentic plan

On the Agentic plan, you can build a Shopify online store before you publish it. You can prepare your online store, and then decide when you're ready to move more of your business to Shopify.

You build your online store in Sales channels > Online Store in your Shopify admin. To publish your online store, you need to move to a paid Shopify subscription plan.

Considerations for building your online store on the Agentic plan

Before you build your online store, review the following considerations:

  • Your online store stays password protected when you're on the Agentic plan, so customers can't visit it.
  • Customers can't complete a purchase in your Shopify online store checkout when you're on the Agentic plan.
  • You can use Shopify agentic storefronts with the Agentic plan, and your product links continue to point to your existing online store. Your agentic storefronts product links point to your Shopify online store only after you move to a paid plan and publish your online store.
  • Your existing agentic storefronts setup isn't affected when you build a Shopify online store, or after you move to a paid Shopify subscription plan.

Your store details, store policies, and products are the same in your online store and in your agentic storefronts setup, so you don't need to add them again.

Publishing your online store

When you try to publish your online store or remove its password, you're prompted to choose a paid Shopify subscription plan. After you move to a paid plan, you can remove the password and publish your online store.
