Stock transfers
You can track stock transfers between your locations in the Stocky app. This lets you know where your inventory is at all times.
For example, if you’re having a regional sale in California, then you can transfer your stock ahead of time to the closest location to be ready for the sale. When the products arrive, you can accept the stock transfer within Stocky to update your inventory levels.

Create a stock transfer
You can use the Stocky app to create stock transfers between your locations.
Steps:
- In the Stocky app, click Inventory > Transfers.
- Click Create transfer.
- Enter the locations the stock is moving between, and then click Create transfer.
- Add the products and quantities.
- Optional: to save the transfer as a Draft, click the back arrow.
- When you're ready to send the products, click Mark as in transit. This reduces the inventory levels at the origin location of the transfer.
- When the inventory has arrived at the destination of the transfer, click Receive all items. This increases the inventory levels at the destination location of the transfer.
Clone a stock transfer
You can clone an existing transfer to create a new transfer with the same details.
Steps:
- In the Stocky app, click Inventory > Transfers.
- Locate the transfer that you want to clone.
- Click the arrow to open the transfer's menu, and then select Clone.
- A clone of your transfer opens with a new transfer number. The date of the new transfer is the date you cloned it.
- Add the products and quantities.
- Optional: to save the transfer as a Draft, click the back arrow.
- When you're ready to send the products, click Mark as in transit. This reduces the inventory levels at the origin location of the transfer.
- When the inventory has arrived at the destination of the transfer, click Receive all items. This increases the inventory levels at the destination location of the transfer.
Receiving inventory transfers with a barcode scanner
Step 1: Add inventory transfers to a POS device's smart grid
Make sure to add an inventory transfer tile to each POS device that will be receiving inventory.
Steps:
- In the Shopify POS app, tap Add tile on the smart grid.
- Tap App > Stocky.
- In the Inventory transfers field, tap Add.
- Tap Save.
Step 2: Receive inventory transfers
- In the Shopify POS app, tap Inventory transfers on the smart grid.
- In the In transit tab, tap the inventory transfer that you want to receive.
- Tap the item in the transfer that you want to receive.
- Optional: If you received all the items in the transfer, then you can tap Receive all to complete the transfer.
- Use your barcode scanner to scan each product that you received, or manually update the number of products that was received. If there are products in the transfer that you want to reject, then use the Reject section of the item transfer to change the inventory that you are receiving.
- Tap Update to finish reviewing the product that you are receiving.
- After you review each product in the transfer, tap Receive (X) item(s).
The statuses for the items in the transfer are updated to reflect the choices that you made when receiving the stock transfer. To update an item's status, you can click Action > Receive remaining items, or click Barcode scan and follow the steps above.
