Create a return to Shopify Fulfillment Network

You can create a return to Shopify Fulfillment Network (SFN) directly from your Shopify admin. When you create a return, your customer receives an email that contains the return label. SFN uses both USPS and UPS as carriers for return labels.

If an order had a pre-authorized return label included when it was shipped to the customer, then creating a return label will fail. You can reprint the pre-authorized return label and send it to your customer if the original label is lost or damaged.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.

  2. Click the order that your customer wants to return.

  3. Click Return items.

  4. Enter the quantity of each item that's being returned. Verify that all the products that are being returned were fulfilled by SFN.

  5. Select the reason for each item being returned.

  6. In the Return shipping options section, select Return items to Shopify Fulfillment Network.

  7. Click Create return.

After a return label is generated, a tracking number and an SFN: Return tag are assigned to the order. You can use the tag to filter your orders.

You can resend the label at any time.
