Shopify's Script Editor allows you to create Ruby scripts that can change the prices and properties of line items in your online store's cart. Using scripts, you can create discounts that will be applied automatically based on the items and properties of a cart. The Script Editor app adds a place to write and store scripts in your Shopify admin.
You can write scripts using the Shopify scripts API documentation. You can use scripts in your online store only.
You can enable your scripts using the Shopify Editor app. And you can schedule line item and shipping scripts to run during events using the Launchpad app.
You can use Shopify Scripts with the following official Shopify themes:
Any theme can be updated to support Shopify Scripts, and the most recent release of the Timber framework supports them.
Several new Liquid objects and attributes are available to scripts.
