Using login services

You can use login services to log in to your Shopify admin using G Suite (formerly Google Apps). Logging in with G Suite can simplify the login process for you and your staff when you regularly use Shopify and G Suite apps like Google Docs or Google Calendar. You need to be the Shopify account owner to enable or disable login services.

Tip

You need to create a staff account in your Shopify admin before you can log in to Shopify using G Suite.

To log in to Shopify using your G Suite account:

  1. Create a staff account in your Shopify admin.
  2. Make sure you are logged in to your G Suite account. Your email address needs to be the same for both your Shopify staff account and your G Suite account.
  3. Click Log in to access your Shopify admin.

Enable login services for G Suite/Google Apps

To enable login services for G Suite/Google Apps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings, then click Account.

  2. In the Login services section, click edit to view options for Google Apps.

  3. Check the Enable Google Apps for login box.

  4. Enter your G Suite/Google Apps domain name in the text field:

  1. Click Save.

Disable login services for G Suite/Google Apps

To disable login services for G Suite/Google Apps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings, then click Account.

  2. In the Login services section, click edit to view options for Google Apps.

  3. Uncheck the Enable Google Apps for login box:

  1. Review the list of accounts set to lose access to your store after G Suite/Google Apps is disabled and confirm the list of accounts that will still be able to log in using a Shopify email and password.

  2. Click Disable.
