Set up Marketplace Connect

After you install the Shopify Marketplace Connect app and ensure that your store meets the app requirements, you can choose the marketplaces that you want to connect to. After you connect to a marketplace, you can create listings for your products.

Before you connect

You need to display your shipping rates and store policies to your customers on the marketplaces that you sell on.

Before you connect to a marketplace, you need to set up the following items on that marketplace:

  • You need to have a verified seller's account for the marketplace, and be approved to sell on that marketplace.
  • You need to set up shipping rates for the marketplace you're selling on.
  • Your store policies need to be visible on the marketplace, according to that marketplace's requirements.
  • When you receive an order from a marketplace, you receive payment from that marketplace. You need to have a payment method set up for your marketplace, and connect the bank account that you want to receive your payments to.

Connect to a marketplace

After you've configured your marketplace settings, you can connect to a marketplace.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
  2. From the Apps and sales channels page, click Marketplace Connect.
  3. Click Open app.
  4. Click Home, and then in the Marketplaces section, click Connect marketplaces.
  5. Do any of the following:
    • To connect Amazon, click Add new Amazon connection, and then choose the Amazon Marketplace that you want to connect to.
    • To connect to Walmart, click Connect Walmart.
    • To connect to eBay, click Add new eBay connection.
    • To connect to Etsy, click Connect Etsy.
  6. To complete your connection, follow the sign-in prompts from the marketplace that you're connecting to.

After you've connected your store to a marketplace, you can create marketplace listings for your products.

Disconnect a marketplace from your Shopify store

You can disconnect a marketplace from your Shopify store in the Settings section of the Marketplace Connect app.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
  2. From the Apps and sales channels page, click Marketplace Connect.
  3. Click Open app.
  4. Click Settings.
  5. Select the sales channel that you want to disconnect from the Listings drop-down menu, and then click Disconnect.
