Enabling payment methods for the Shopify POS app

You can enable different payment methods in Shopify POS so that your customers have a choice of payment options at checkout.

Enable cash payments for the Shopify POS app

By default, cash transactions are enabled. If you no longer want to accept cash, then you can disable cash transactions. There are no additional fees or charges to the customer or to the store for cash payments.

Steps:

  1. From Shopify POS, tap > Settings > Payment settings.

  2. Under Other payment types, tap Cash to enable or disable it.

Enable payment by gift card for the Shopify POS app

Gift cards are a good way to increase your sales. In addition, gift cards help to promote your store when your customers buy them for their family and friends.

If you want to sell physical gift cards, then you must buy them from the Shopify Hardware Store.

Before you can accept payments by gift card, you must enable gift cards as a payment method in the Shopify POS app.
