Set up your domain with Bluehost

If you have a domain from Bluehost, then you need to reconfigure your DNS settings to point the domain at your Shopify store.

Set up your domain with Bluehost

Make sure that you've added your custom domain by clicking Connect existing domain on the Domains page of your Shopify admin.

To set up your domain with Bluehost:

  1. Log in to your cPanel on Bluehost.

  2. Click Domains:

  3. Click the checkbox next to the domain that you want to connect to Shopify:

  4. Next to DNS Zone Editor, click Manage:

  5. In the A (Host) table, click the gear icon in the @ row:

  6. Change the points to field to Shopify’s IP address: 23.227.38.32Copy

  7. Click Save.

  8. In the CNAME (Alias) table, click the gear icon in the www row:

  9. Change the points to field to shops.myshopify.comCopy

  10. Click Save:

  11. Click Verify connection in your Shopify admin to confirm that your custom domain has been connected to your store.

It can take up to 48 hours for changes to take effect.
