You can use marketing tools in Shopify to reach new customers, stay connected with customers who have purchased from your store before, and measure your marketing efforts.

Planning your marketing strategy and measuring performance

For guidance on building a marketing strategy across channels, refer to Developing a marketing plan. After your campaigns are running, you can review key performance metrics from the Marketing page. For details about interpreting your data, refer to Analyzing marketing performance. You can also add pixels to your store to track customer behavior and improve your ad targeting.

Creating marketing campaigns and messaging subscribers

You can create marketing campaigns, send email and SMS marketing, build sign-up forms, and connect third-party marketing integrations from the Marketing. Refer to Setting up marketing in Shopify for the full range of tools available.

Reaching new customers

You can use multiple tools for bringing new customers to your store, depending on your budget, location, and preferred channel:

  • Shopify Collabs: Connects you with creators and influencers for affiliate and creator-led marketing.
  • Shopify Audiences: Generates targeted audience lists for external ad platforms such as Meta and Google. Available on the Shopify Plus plan only.
  • Shop Campaigns: Runs ads on the Shop app, Shop website, Shopify Product Network, and third-party platforms to acquire new customers, or reengage lapsed customers. You pay only when a customer converts.
  • SEO tools: Helps new customers find your store through organic search with no additional ad costs.
