Shopify Fulfillment Network Insights

In your Shopify admin, you can access reports that track how Shopify Fulfillment Network (SFN) is impacting your business. For example, you can run a report to track your delivery promise performance, or your delivery speed. You can use these insights to ensure that your customers receive a reliable delivery experience. By using SFN insights, you can get an overview on how your fulfillment and delivery is performing.

Understanding the different insights

Fulfilled orders

You can use the fulfilled orders insight to find the number of orders that were delivered to your customers within a 30, 60, or 90 day time frame.

Promised delivery speeds

If you've activated Shop Promise, then you can use the promised delivery speeds insight to find the percentage of orders that were fulfilled and had a one-day, two-day, three-day, or four or more-day expected delivery date. For eligible order, the Shop Promise badge is displayed on product pages and throughout the customer checkout experience and Shop app. Learn more about Shop Promise.

If you've deactivated Shop Promise, then the promised delivery speeds insight is calculated by SFN using service level agreements (SLAs) that SFN has assigned to your orders.

On-time shipping

You can use the on-time shipping insight to compare when a customer was told that their order would ship to when an order actually ships. Shipping is considered on-time when an order ships on or before the expected shipping date.

You can calculate your on-time shipping rate by using the following formula:

On-time shipping = Total number of orders shipped by on or before the expected shipping date x 100 / Total number of orders that shipped

On-time delivery

You can use the on-time delivery insight to track delivery compliance. A delivery is considered on-time when an order is delivered on or before the expected delivery date.

For example, if an order is expected to be delivered by June 20, then it’s considered on-time if it’s delivered between June 17 and June 20. If the order is delivered after June 20, then it’s considered late.

You can calculate your on-time delivery rate by using the following formula:

Total number of deliveries that arrived on or before the expected delivery date x 100 / Total number of orders delivered

A delivery might arrive late for reasons such as inventory management issues, order fulfillment issues, carrier delays, or problems with a delivery. You can do the following to help prevent the amount of orders that arrive late:

Coverage map

You can use the coverage map to view your delivery coverage within the United States at a selected speed. The coverage map displays predicted delivery timelines for one product. You can hover over the coverage map to get more specific product delivery insights for a specific state.

For example, if you have many customers in the state of Virginia, then you might want to deliver orders within two days. You can use the coverage map and hover over Virginia to check if you have two day coverage for all of the counties in Virginia.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings > Apps and sales channels.
  2. From the Apps and sales channels page, click Shopify Fulfillment Network.
  3. Click Open app.
  4. Click Inventory.
  5. Click the product that you'd like to view shipping coverage for.
