Shopify Fulfillment Network low inventory notifications

You can set up inventory notifications in the Shopify Fulfillment Network (SFN) app to notify you when a product's inventory reaches an estimated number of days remaining until it's sold out. For example, you can configure a notification when SFN fulfillment centers have an estimated 30 days of inventory for a product available before it's sold out.

The sales history of a product and the amount of inventory available at SFN fulfillment centers are used to estimate how many days until SFN is out of inventory available to sell.

Set up low inventory notifications for SFN

To remind you to replenish your inventory stocked at SFN fulfillment centers, you can set up low inventory notifications based on the estimated number of days of inventory available at SFN fulfillment centers. Low inventory notifications are displayed in your SFN app on the Overview and Inventory tabs.

When configuring low inventory notifications, consider the following:

  • how long it takes to receive product from your supplier
  • how long it takes to prepare to ship your inventory to SFN
  • how long it takes for products to arrive at SFN and to be processed by SFN personnel

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps, and then click Shopify Fulfillment Network.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. In the Inventory section, set the minimum number of days worth of inventory that you want for your products.

After you configure low inventory notifications, you're notified when the available inventory for a product reaches the minimum number of days that you configured. If you want SFN fulfillment centers to continue to fulfill the product, then create an inbound transfer and send additional inventory to SFN.
