Selling products using online sales channels

You can use Shopify to sell your products using one or more online sales channels. Each place where you are selling is like a channel that flows into your business, helping customers from a variety of audiences find your products. By connecting each sales channel to your Shopify admin, you can keep track of your products, orders, and customers in one place, no matter where you're selling.

After you add a sales channel, it will be listed under Sales Channels in your Shopify admin. You can click its name to learn more about selling your products using that sales channel.

Available online sales channels

Shopify supports several different online sales channels where you can sell your products:

Online Store Sell through your online store and checkout. Your Shopify plan includes a Shopify-hosted domain at a address. If you prefer, you can set up your own domain.
Pinterest Add Buyable Pins to any products from your Shopify store that have been pinned on Pinterest.
Facebook Post and sell your products directly from the Shop tab on your store's Facebook page.
Buy Button Sell from your own website or blog (including WordPress, Squarespace, and Tumblr) by embedding buy buttons that connect with your Shopify checkout.
Amazon Manage your Amazon listings and Shopify products in a single location.
Mobile Apps Sell physical products from your Shopify store inside your own iOS app. Your customers can make in-app purchases using Apple Pay or their credit card. (This requires some development work.)

You can also sell in person using the Shopify POS app, a credit card reader, and other retail hardware like barcode scanners, receipt printers, and cash drawers.

Third-party sales channels

Some online marketplaces have created sales channels that you can integrate with your Shopify admin. These sales channels are included on the dialog that appears when you click the + icon beside Sales channels in your Shopify admin.

The following third-party sales channels are available to add in your Shopify admin:

You can add more sales channels in the Shopify App Store.

If you need help using a third-party sales channel, then the best place to start is by contacting its creator's customer support.

Channel eligibility

You might need to change your store's settings before you can add a sales channel because of specific eligibility requirements.

If your store isn't eligible for a sales channel, then the channel appears as Unavailable in your Shopify admin. Click View details to see why your store isn't eligible.

Make sure that you review the terms of use for new sales channels before you start using them. Some sales channels require or prohibit certain information in your product listings, and some require you to ship your customers' orders within a specific number of days.
