Remove customer tags

The Remove customer tags action removes tags from the customer that triggers the workflow.

The Remove customer tags action contains the following fields.

Fields used in the Remove customer tags action.
TagsThe tags to remove from a customer. Tags are not case sensitive. To remove multiple tags, do one of the following:
  • Enter each tag separately by typing the tag, and then pressing the enter key.
  • Enter multiple tags by separating them with commas. Whitespace between commas is removed.

    For example, entering tag1,tag2,tag3 and then pressing enter key results in tag1,tag2,tag3 initially displaying in the action. When the action is taken, three separate tags are removed: tag1, tag2, and tag3.


The Remove customer tags action has a hidden field added to it by the trigger. This field, Customer ID, identifies the customer to have tags removed. The customer ID is set by default and can't be changed.

Example of a workflow that removes tags when a customer's total amount spent is equal to or greater than $50.

In this example workflow, the new tag is removed from a customer when the total amount of their orders is equal to or greater than $50.
